Does anyone know if a multi site company can have one site SQF registered and another unregistered?

Thanks in advance for any opinions,

Hi Esquef,

If we are talking about two separate and distinct manufacturing sites, then yes. And same for BRC.

It might become a little grey if you have two sites producing the same product range and essentially supplying the same customer base.

FYI SQF also have a multi-site certification programme where a central site can be SQF 2000 and this management system can cover sub sites that are eligible for certification to SQF 1000. But there are a number of stipulations attached to this, including all sites carrying out similar activities.

Hope this helps.

Philip.

Yes, a separate MFG facility can be certified while another location would not be. There is also a multi-site SQF program too.

Thanks for the replies!
If you are getting certification at a customer request and both facilities produce the same SKU and send to that customer then you would probably be required to get both certified based on your customer requirements.
