Raw Material Specifications

We are in the process of implementing SQF. Are specifications supplied by the raw ingredient supplier sufficient or are we required to develop our own?

Dear jhCPM,
I am not a user of SQF but it is usually QA/101 that a buyer buys based on his purchase specifications. ??
It is also a normal QA requirement that the buyer's specifications must be documentarily accepted by the supplier.
How you develop your specifications is of course up to you / your own constraints.
