On the SQF Module 2: system element s you need to start with following 2.5.6 page 61 in the new Edition
This section explains 2.5.6.1 , #s 1 thru 7 and includes 2.5.6.2
Keep good records of all your recieving activities from scheduling the load , Driver and company ID, truck inspection before and after to raw material labeling (allergens,..stickers, warehouse locations, tracking are they an approved supplier ?....
have a written plan and follow it. Jeff

Hi Pat,

The clauses Jeff is referring to are in Module 2: SQF System Elements 2.5.6 which relate to Product Sampling, Inspection and Analysis

Transport controls are prescribed in the additional applicable SQF Code Module for your Food Sector Category. For the Processing of Food Products Module 11: Food Safety Fundamentals – Good Manufacturing Practices for Processing of Food Products is applicable and the relevant sections are:
11.6 Storage and Transport
11.6.6 Loading, Transport and Unloading Practices
11.6.7 Loading
11.6.8 Transport
11.6.9 Unloading

Regards,

Tony
Thanks Jeff for taking the time to assist.
Thank you to you too Tony. I will get started on that.
Pat,

Depending on the "Bulk Raw Food Products" you are talking about, if you are looking for some additional "free" information, try looking at the following from independent trade bodies in the UK and from a European Union perspective:-

For cereals, grains, oilseeds, pulses try the Agricultural Industries Federation (AIC) TASCC (Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops) Codes of Practice. Companies on the TASCC register are audited by 3rd Party auditors to an accredited scheme (TASCC).

Try this link:- TASCC Codes of Practice on storage and haulage

This also links to the European guidelines on bulk transport of oils, which might also be of use:-

Try this direct link:- FEDIOL Code of Practice for the transport in bulk of oils into or within the European Union

Don't know if this helps but I hope so!
