Hallelujah! Finally (and even up to 7.1). I haven't had a chance to look through them (email just came in a few minutes ago). Oh well, better late than never I quess.

I was scheduled to work on our program until about 8:00 tonight anyway; this is welcome news.

Just got the e-mail here, too.

Thanks Marshenko, topic pinned.

Just a reminder that this is a GUIDANCE document and is not auditable.  I had an auditor previously who kept referring to well water and swabbing.  I firmly asked her to show me where it explictly said that in the code and reminded her that we can only be scored against the code.  I then explained how we were controlling the situation.

was happy to see some clear direction on 11.5.7 air quality now

Dear Marshenko,

Many thanks.

Regarding Guidance Module2, SQF now seem to be “somehow” criticizing GFSI regarding the GFSI interpretation of “Validation”. SQF reiterate they are using “Codex” definition (see 2.5.1, Pg40). The (SQF) perceived difference as stated in Module2 is unclear to me.

IMO, SQF7 standard is (or chooses to be) unaware of existence of Codex 2008’s  clearly laid out “re- interpretation”. And not to forget  SQF’s retained inclusion of NACMCF in the Glossary. And maybe GFSI same ignorance but seems unlikely.

Must applaud SQF for their generous Guidance assists but, for some aspects, difficult to say whether brave or foolhardy.

Early in the month I received this document.   The heading was "SQF level 2 - Proposed Preventive Controls Comparison Modules 2 & 11. (Leavitt Partners)

This 84 page document laid out SQF process and the requirements for meeting FSMA.

I plan to go to level 3 next year and many programs in this document we meet or exceed.  In a recent Silliker GMP food safety audit, April 9, we received a 98.6  I have some wourk to get to level 3 with a quality plan, CQP's but 7.1 is a small help.  Writing SOP's, docum, ent control, CAPA are my hurdle right now.
