Dear Deepakmore,

Are you referring to a particular paragraph in the standard ?. Please clarify a little.

if you are generally referring to the HACCP portion of the standard, BRC states to follow the Codex logic approach.

Regarding assessment of control measures, a primary Codex HACCP objective is to determine the location of significant hazards, ie FS hazards which are (a) not already controlled by maintaining a hygienic environment, eg through implementation of prerequisite procedures and (b) which are essential to control, eg as evaluated by a Risk Matrix . Possible control measures are then assessed by their ability to “satisfactorily” control  such hazards (ie at a CCP point).
