Just a small point ISO 9001:2000 was superseded by ISO 9001:2008.

Why don't you go in for conformity to ISO 22000-2005,the international standard for food safety management system;this is more relevant for food processing industries.
There are a number of consultants available in India to guide you on this, if you so desire.
