Non Genetically Modified (GMO Certification) Exemption Form

Hi all,

In order to be compliant with our customers requirements I need to submit Non Genetically Modified Certification or its exemption form. I assume that GMO is not applicable to my organization since we are only processing fresh fruits and veggies. Does anyone have the GMO certificate exemption form template or at least an idea what it should say.

Thanks,

Ostap

You need to ascertain if any of your product that you are processing are GMO or not by going to the source. For certification you may want to take a close look at the Non-GMO Project at:

Genetically modified organisms very much pertains to fruits and veggies.  Significant effort has been expended to improve nutrition profiles, increase disease resistance and lengthen shelf life just to name a few with the use of genetic engineering.  You need to have your suppliers verify that they are not providing you and GMO products.  As for a form, I did not have one specific for GMO and had it built into other supplier and customer documents.
