Is stud fastening acceptable on workwear coats?
Following the xmas excess I've kind of lost the plot and I need some advice.
Is stud fastening acceptable on workwear coats, with concealed studs except on the cuffs and top one at neck.
Are there any other better options?
Thanks in advance
I hope so..... that's what my clients use :surprise: we haven't been reprimanded for it yet, mind you we have had some other strange requests during customer audits..... but that's another story
Think they are better than plastic buttons.

The main requirements of food safety standards tend to state 'no buttons' but a word of warning. I have seen clothing where studs regularly detached and were lost. If you have a metal detector they may be picked up but I would closely scrutinise the quality of the clothing and relative ease with which the studs become detached.

Yes, we have not had any problem in the last couple of years, 13 to be precise. what is required is a system not necessary written; for checking the integrity of the studs i.e. they are intact, not torn, they are functional and all that.
Its a better infact the best option than the strings that some times dont work effectively
studs or snaps are preferred to buttons by our auditor.
