SQF (L2) Facility requirements Raw/Finished product storage

Was hoping to obtain some guidance as to SQF facility requirements concerning separation of Raw Product & Finished Product. We are a processor of fruits and vegetables with certain facility restrictions that would make "separate room" storage prohibitive. Is this a problem, and can separation be accomplished in an acceptable fashion through other means? Thanks!

So much depends on the process and risk assessment.  Whilst I believe it is possible, you MUST be able to demonstrate that the risks designed to be managed by separate rooms, can be effectively managed by alternative means. Validating data will be necessary.

Of course, your auditor may have been bitten once before with this kind of situation, and may not wish to entertain such a deviation again!

cheers
