How to label plastic containers?

Dear Sirs

We are at a meat processing factory (mortadellas, luncheons,..).

We use plastic containers which contain weighed quantities of spices and additives during our processing.

How to label these containers in a hygienic way? (the label must contain the name of the material inside and the quantity mainly).

Knowing that these containers are reusable (sanitized after each use), and paper stickers could not be easily removed properly and may attract bacterial growth.

I hope you could help..

Thank you

Hi Wassim,

We use a heat stamp for plastic containers but are moving away from them because of foreign object concerns......you would be better off moving towards stainless containers that are engraved. Longer lasting, less risk, easier to clean. :)

Hi there,   we use 2 very simple methods that so far have not given cause for concern.

1.   permanent marker :)

2.  Laminated lables. I just print these off the computer laminate them, and either glue or tape them down on the sanitised container, or if the container is clear/see through, I merely put the lable on the inside facing out... They aren't permanent but last much longer than normal paper, and the advantage is you can actually wipe them with sanitiser.
