Dear All,

I have to give Food safety training based on ISO22000:2005 to the group of 8-10 people  who work in the company which deals with the control of pest.

The entire session will be of 8 hours .Can some one explain what topics should be discussed in priority? So that I can finish the entire FSMS module within 8 hours.

How should I explain the importance and significance of food safety to the target audiences?

Charu,

This is somewhat of a big topic and I'll give my thoughts on the situation.

You want to give them all of the food safety topics that you would normally train contractors but you will obviously want to touch more on chemical handling / contamination / food safe use.

You will need to train them in:

GMPs - hairnet / beard net / hand washing

Pest Control - your policies and procedures - for example if there is a pest sighting log they need to check - what they need to log

Equipment / building awareness - Where pest hotspots are / where the equipment is / how to get around safely

Chemicals - need to disclose what chemicals they are using / MSDS on site for food safety and personnel safety

Personnel safety - You don't want them getting hurt in your facility

I'm not sure you need an 8 hour training for all of this... and I'm sure someone else will bring in other important topics as well

Good luck
