Hi Folks,

 

We are a ready to eat frozen fruits processor exporting to US. One of our customer asked to get compliance with 

 

 

The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) 2008.

 

 

Can some one please guide what exactly it required ?

The really short answers is that this generally relates to consumer items such as toys, cribs, electronics, books and the list goes on.  It might (but is unlikely) pertain to your packaging, but does not apply to your fruits.  The purpose of the act is the safety of the materials and that they don't contain certain substances such as heavy metals or depending on the item in question other chemicals.   Most likely these regulations do not apply to your products.
