I am in the process of implementing HACCP to a centralized Kitchen where the capacity of production is for 20000 people. Can anyone please help me in giving the specifications for the ceiling inside the Kitchen like what kind of materials should be used for ceiling . The height of the Kitchen is 20 feet. Asbestos sheets are allowed ? Please suggest.

All materials on floors, walls and ceilings shall be washable and corrosion resistant materials: that's the main specification.

The use of asbestos is no longer possible, in fact, no longer panels are manufactured with such material. If you have asbestos panels, should be removed, but using appropriate protective measures.

Which most likely means the use of a qualified asbestos removal company with personal air supply respirators. Asbestos tiles should never be disturbed by untrained individuals as agitation can cause asbestos fibers to come loose and pose a serious health hazard (mesothelioma).

Thank you so much for the clarification. Sheets made of Gypsum is allowed ? Or can you please suggest any other material for ceiling ?

Here are some that are marketed as for food processing / other clean activities: http://www.armstrong...s/_/N-cZ1z141av (multiple different types/costs)

I just googled "food processing ceiling tiles" and there are quite a few products out there.

Edit: Some kind of plastic tile like these is probably your best option since gypsum could flake off into your product (theoretically)
