SQF Costs for Re-certification Audits - Level 1

Hi,

I'm hoping to get some more information regarding the costs of an SQF Re-Certification Audit. One of our Directors took care of choosing our CB for us and I don't think the question of "how much do re-certifications cost" was ever brought up... I received a quote from our CB for our next audit which is in just a few months here and realized the cost is only 10% less than what we paid last year for our initial cert which included the desk audit.  I understand that CB's have their own costs and fees, but I do feel like this amount is just a bit on the high side.  I would at least think that it's at 1/3 of the cost of the first certification audit. 

What are your experiences with the cost of SQF re-certification audits?

They should do the same amount of work each time.  So price should be comparable to last year.  I can't speak to the level 1 price as have always done, levels 2 & 3 but in comparing costs I have found most of the CB's are fairly close in price with the main variables being travel costs.
