Cleaning a Gunther brine injector
Hello All,
I just love marketing. First they brought allergens into a non-allergen plant . Now they are trying to bring in this new machinery. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a machine called a Gunther brine injector with a water bath. Is it easy to clean? Has it been validated if they decide to throw the allergens in the mix to inject? Are there are to reach niches for any pathogens?
Thank you all for your help.
Long time listener first time post.
:welcome: to the forum. I am not familiar with this piece of equipment, so I am not going to be any help. While it is obviously to inject a brine mix, am curious what it is used for.
Hi
I worked for a company that used these....2 large ones in fact.
Cleaning was done by our contracted cleaning crew each night.
Cleaning the needles is the hardest part but not overly difficult.
No real niches as far as I know...we had no trouble like that but if you are concerned then you need to familiarise yourself with the machine when it is running and when it is not. Also a good localised fogging can be helpful ;)
As far as allergen cleaning - I would be using your production plan to negate most of that risk....allergens at the end of the run / shift / day.
If you are unable to get around this then you need to work out the risk...cross contamination risk. VITAL is a helpful tool to do this.
