Creative Types Needed for Training Project Collaboration

Hi

I'm making a super fun training video game!  I didn't want to brag about it until I had something more solid, but I've already spent months on the coding.  It is basically a series of mini-games designed for various PRPs (Allergens is my favorite atm, but to give you an idea, level 1 is "getting to my workstation", and you have to punch in, change into your uniform, put on a hair net and beard net.  If you don't wash your hands, there is a random chance that "a QA" will catch you, or in a few levels there might be an illness complaint).  Right now all my graphics are little square or stolen icons.

Is anyone on here adept at making art or music?  My graphics are terrible, and my sound is non existent.  I won't be making any $$ because I'm planning on using it specifically for my factory, but if someone were to throw some art or noise my way, I could certainly adjust the lay out / levels for their factory, or create levels specific to the training they need.  AND they could do the super fun job of running into walls to make sure you can't go through them.

And when it's finished I will totally link to it here.  Coming Winter 2016!  I think with some collaboration, it may turn out pretty well!

Winter 2016 is way too long.......I think we need to aim for spring 2015....

That being said need more information as to what is involved with music and graphics, my kids and I may be able to help and it would educational and fun for them.  Looking forward to more information.

Did I mention my husband and kids have a wicked sense of humor....sort of like yours...... :mwah:

I am absolutely not the person you want.  I have no drawing, music (other than singing), and computer versions of the previous skills.

That being said I'd love to play your game!

It would be great if you had some way of having to go over the CP/CCP forms operators filled out and have to do a hold or recall because one of them didn't fill out their paperwork correctly.  Actually have to walk to the office, find the records, find the correct dates for the records, call the shipper, go to the warehouse, affix the hold forms, call the CEO/President/ETC :roflmao:

I can't help with the creative side at all- but good luck with the project- it sounds like an excellent idea!

This thread just reminded me of a kid in high school who was 1 or 2 years behind me... so when he was around 15 he recoded the first part of Final Fantasy I completely in basic code.... it was insane.

Just wanted to share that with you... for no really good reason.

Kids!  :spoton:  Think of all of the free labor testing :D

Right now all of the "screens (layouts in 1337 speak)" look kinda like the attached files.

The orange squares represent different items you interact with (First one - hair net, beard net, ear plugs, second layout will be sink and hand drying, both have "Back" buttons)

The objects themselves are functional, all I have to do is go into the files and replace the picture of the orange square with the actual picture I want to use.  So far I've been *stealing* images from google searches, which ends up roughly like the last file attached (this is the office area.  If you make coffee, you can go faster!  But the "coffee machine" picture I have is the one above the PPE station in the upper right hand corner. )   Not all of the layouts are a top down view, some are first person.    Every "mini game" or station is set up a little differently...because I'm bad at game design.

2015 is really soon!  Each layout / level / screen takes me a couple hours (coding = hobby, not employment, so I'm not as fast), and then someone (so far that's me) has to test it to make sure stuff happens the way it's supposed to.  It's CRAZY fun once you get a layout working though, so I've been spending a lot of time on it

What is someone sleeping at their desk at your plant Magenta???  No bueno!

My kids (my husband being my oldest child) will have a blast with this.   They love to code and do this kind of stuff.  I will have them check it out.  They were getting really excited last night when I told them about......but somehow this is turning into they will need a new computer (an expensive one) to do the best job.......  Told them to keep saving their money.   :roflmao:  I'm such a mean Mom.

I always wanted to learn oop and programming for android / ios but I'm lazy...

I knew it....I'm in the wrong line of work, naps and more money..... :roflmao:

Update :

"Level 1"  functional.  Still need title screen, choose your player, etc.  All "art" is stolen, so I need to replace with real art.   Still need voice overs too
