Can the same person authorize and approve a document?

Hi Guys,

For any procedures and work instructions, is it ok to have the same person to authorize and approve a document? Also, on document revision, is it ok to have the same person to review and approve? Would it be an audit issue?

Thank you in advance!

Lorena

Hi Lorena!

The answer is yes to both.

What is not allowed is to have the same person as preparer/originator & reviewer/approver.

Regards.

Thank you MCIAN! :)
