Dear All,

We are looking for cost effective way of measuring alkaline phosphatase in milk and other pasteurised dairy products. We have come across floro phose etc, however the instruments are fairly expensive.

Also came across reflectometer meter methodology but the test kit is discontinued.

Please let us know if you organisation is using any inexpensive yet quick method.

Regards,

Hi

A quick Google search for alkaline phosphatase test kits list numerable suppliers and kits.

Also - Alkaline phosphatase methodology and dairy chemistry should should provide extra info on utilisation of reagents in a kit that you could use for your purposes.

Hope this help.

You can use the old A&M method, but it takes 2 hours. But imagine the cost of under pasteurising for 2 hours when the Flurophos will give you a result in 10 mins!
