Hi, I had to that that recently for SQF.
We figured the best way was to send a very brief email announcing the accoomplishment, followed by a brief explanation about what the standard is and why it is needed more and more. Lastly, state that the effectiveness of your efforts will depend on the quality and safety of the product they're supplying you.
It seems daunting, but just stay brief and to the point. It worked for us, our suppliers are now looking to get certified to a GFSI program as well.
