Risk assessment of loose items
i need your support about risk assessment of loose items. we are producing UHT milk, as known this is close system and there is no chance that loose items mixed with products.
Do a quick documented risk assessment... it shows you looked at the issue.
Do you use in-line screens??

Yes, filter screening. may loose items mixed with products during the mixing and preparation step after that we have 2 filter
I agree with trubertq, if this has been determined as a non-critical step of your operation than a risk assessment should suffice.
It is common practice to have an in line filter.
There may be parts in your filler that could fall off into the product and brittle plastic that could crack or break and fall into the product. You need to look at your filling machines and assess if this is likely and if so put checks in place for such items.
