EC Approval for Stand alone Cold Store

Hi People

 

Please advise

 

Is there any exceptions for stand alone cold stores with regards to size etc to be EC approved by local Authorities.

 

Site stores FOAO which imports in and sends straight back out to restaurants, wholesale etc.

apparently Food of Animal origin - would never have guessed that one.

 

If  by "exceptions" you mean  "exemptions" an answer may be somewhere in this document -

Apparently it does mean Food of Animal origin!!

 

I have that letter already, thanks anyway! Just thought I would share my post to see if there was any "exemptions" that somebody could note note that maybe I have missed, after al I was told this was the case by a compliance manager but I knew this was not the case just wanted to share!!!!

 

I am right also by saying that Ireland follow 853/2004??

My comment  expressed amazement that such an acronym would exist in the first place. But  apparently in common usage in UK these days ?.

 

Perhaps a conversation like -
