Is your internal audit department audited and by whom?

Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me if your internal audit department is audited and by whom? This apparently is a requirement for us BRC v7 and IFS v6.

I would assume that the external audit performed by our CB would suffice, but who would qualify to audit the internal audit department? Do we need to source an external body, assuming that the company contains one independent internal auditor, and I would also assume that the manager(although qualified) of the internal auditor would also not be able to audit the internal auditor? Please advise.

You are IMEX extremely fortunate to possess enough auditors to form a Department.

But in view of yr query, was perhaps an unwise decision to "formalise" it ?

No internal audit department in my company as such ,sorry,  just one internal auditor (QA), and the Quality assurance manager of that internal auditor who is also a qualified auditor.  

look dear. our department QA. do all internal audit stuff. but QC manager can make the internal audit on us (he is qualified enough to do so) also H&FS manager he is qualified also to do so.
