Leak proof inedible containers---define

Our process uses alot of water, we use containers under equipment to collect the material and have put holes in them to allow the water to drain out so we're not moving heavy pails that are mostly water, these are all marked Inedible. The meat manual of procedures does state the the inedible containers must be leak proof. The large containers we store the material for the rendering company to pick up are of course leak proof. Can anyone think of a creative solution to this? Our current vet in charge does not have an issue with how we are doing things, but he must comply with the legislation. I'm trying not to rewrite our entire program OR dig a trough into the floor. And we know we will have a new Vet In Charge soon, so it may change again!

Hi Scampi,

I assume that these containers are catching debris and you have designed them so they drain and you transfer the debris to a 'leak proof inedible container'.

If that is the case then I think you already have a 'creative solution' to a problem and my 'creative solution' would be to call them 'catch trays' not storage containers.
