New research ideas for bacteriocins
i want to do my phd on bacteriocins as a food presevation...so what kind of new research can be done on bacteriocins so that they can be useful in food preservation...
I'm assuming that you have done a PubMed search, but if you have not, there are not a lot of scientific articles out there. The field may be open for almost any research, though I would suspect that the food companies are doing their own and not publishing to protect their secrets.
This article is the most recent. This is a link to the abstract, and it appears that you would have to pay for the article. They usually are not very expensive, it may be worth the money to see what has been done.

I would also reach out to a company who could use this information and ask for suggestions from them. They may even help you out as long as it helps their research. It's not problem if they say No, and they may say Yes that they'll help you. It's worth a try.
Good luck on your PhD,
