Calibration frequency metal detectors and X-ray machines

Hi all,

I am currently arranging for our metal detectors and X-ray machines to be calibrated.

We are a BRC site however does this need to be carried out annually on both machines?

Hi Peter,

I have no familiarity with  X-ray so this post refers to MDs only.

Please clarify what you mean by calibration ?

AFAIK, this terminology is not mentioned in the brc standard ?

It can be argued that the frequent  compliance testing as necessitated per 4.10.3.4 etc is calibration ?
