Time Between Pre-assessment Audit & Formal Audit?

Hi everyone,

I did a google search both on this forum and on the internet without finding an answer. So quick question:

Is there a specific/required/recommended time frame that your formal SQF audit (we're going for L2) needs to happen after your pre-assessment audit is completed or is it open ended?

Thank you!

A pre-assesment is voluntary/not mandatory for your certification. This being said that makes the time between the pre-assesment and the formal audit open ended.

Yay - thank you, brianweber!

You are very welcome :welcome:

Most of our clients have us do their pre-assessment 1 month prior to the desk audit and if needed 1 month prior to the cert. audit allowing the facility enough time to correct items, etc.
