Flow Diagram programme
Hi there,
Can any one recommend a free process flow diagram tool to make that particular laborious task a little easier?
I just used the tool within PowerPoint. If you select the "Insert" tab, there is a "SmartArt" area. Within that area are templates for flow charts of many different formats. As you include more steps, it resizes everything.
I would try that out first.

Amen to that. There are no free lunches. I'm so wary of downloading "free" software, because you never know what's hidden in it. I've had to clean up a computer or two here from someone who loved to use pirated software. One computer was a mess.
Good luck finding something.

RF Flow - It's not free, but you can trial it free for 30 days and I have found it very useful for producing HACCP flowcharts! If you like it, it's not too expensive. Once you have a flowchart finished, you can 'copy' it and paste it into a Word Doc - if placed inside a text box you can resize it and move it about as you wish.
I also use powerpoint; personally I find it much easier than word for flow diagrams and have never needed anything more advanced.
Maybe if I tried something better I would see the light...but what you've never had you never miss.
I got one, draw.io. It's ok, you can export as a pdf. I'm not sure that it's any quicker or easier than PP but hey ho I have to show willing to the youngsters
We use microsoft VISIO.
It's a program designed for making flow diagrams!
You only need one license for whoever that is in charge of HACCP...
and the arrows connects the steps even when you move them around!
You might try lucid chart which we used to create our HACCP process flow diagram. I downloaded it and haven't had any negative ramifications (thus far!).
