Can you reference the section and wording from the standard.
4.6.3 Wooden equipment including desks, chairs, tables, etc. shall be properly sealed to enable effective
cleaning. This equipment shall be kept clean, in good condition and free from splinters or other
sources of physical contamination.
- Avoid wood in risk departments
- The wood you have left then try to protect it like covering a wooden table with a stainless steel top.
- What is left unprotected then make sure it is in good condition and regularly check condition, documented checks such as during GMP audits.
Can you add these wooden objects to your daily checks to verify that they are still in 'good condition'.
