Help Needed on AIB GMP audit

Hello all.  I have some questions about AIB food contact packaging audits.  We have scored 200 points in IPM for the last four audits; but, this week's GMP audit ended up with 155 points for Pest Control. This is despite the fact that we have service by one of the leading pest control companies in the US.  We are awaiting the written report from the audit.  But I had a question just to get started researching the score.

Under the section for IPM trends, what is the trend being referred to? Is it insects counted in the traps (including bug lights) or is it pest sightings from the slips submitted by our employees when they see insects? This seemed to be a point of discussion and I'm still unsure of the correct answer.

Any help you can give on the above question is appreciated.

It's both. The standard says:

"Documentation of pest sightings and activity are reviewed and used to identify and eliminate areas where pest activity is observed, and to document Corrective Actions taken."

So, both logs and actual traps/bait stations/ILT's are expected to be trended.

4.9.1.6  "Pest management personnel review the log each quarter to identify trends in pest activity. A report of findings is submitted to designated facility personnel."

Here, the standard is specifically talking about the "pest-sighting log", where employees are supposed to enter pest sightings.

If you got a 155 in PC you must have had a critical NC. If you don't mind posting the NC, perhaps we can be of further help.
