Hi all,

Some help needed please. I have been thrown into new territory, we are moving site.  I have to carry out a risk assessment for the decommissioning of equipment and also the commissioning when it the new building.  I have not had to deal with moving of a site before its all new.  Has anyone templates etc I could use as a guide for the decommissioning of equipment.  It should all be straight forward production will be stopped for the move but I am sure there will be something to throw a spanner in the works.............doesn't help that BRC is just around the corner....If anyone has any other tips I should be considering when moving site I would greatly appreciate them!

Thank you! :)

No experience in that area... I don't see the value on a quality on the decommissioning part..I'd more concerned with the commissioning(depends who is doing it though- in-house or contractors?... Have you verified the building you are going to..validated it will work...signed the blueprint on where everything will go..and the possibly flow of goods(schematic)......

Hi Dr Vu,

Thank you for your response.  Yes Customers have asked for the decommissioning risk assessment, not something I have had to do before.  I would imagine it is to show that product on site or production is not at risk from the movement and removal of equipment and that equipment is not damaged on transport to another site.  Production will be completely ceased before the move commences anyway so on that part should be fine.  Yes decisions have been made and sign offs complete on where everything will go in the new site which is currently being renovated to suit our product flows.

Thanks again!

W
