Date gun for use by /best before
we run low volume and do it by hand with a date gun, but there needs to be daily verification to ensure it's correct regardless of the method
is it recommended to use date gun for marking the shelf life of the product useby/ best before manually by hand and not injecting as printed one on the sleeves. please suggest
Hi mpremindia,
Do you mean with respect to cost, speed, ink, accuracy or ?
From my experience with date guns, the main challenges are setting the correct values and ensuring the sticker stays on the product (especially when being handled). I wouldn't advise as there are lower cost printers capable of printing onto a package now.
