Date gun for use by /best before

is it recommended to use date gun for marking the shelf life of the product useby/ best before manually by hand and not injecting as printed one on the sleeves. please suggest

we run low volume and do it by hand with a date gun, but there needs to be daily verification to ensure it's correct regardless of the method

Do you mean with respect to cost, speed, ink, accuracy or ?

From my experience with date guns, the main challenges are setting the correct values and ensuring the sticker stays on the product (especially when being handled). I wouldn't advise as there are lower cost printers capable of printing onto a package now.
