Flaxseed oil antioxidant
I am in search of an antioxidant product for food grade flaxseed oil
The product must have an allergen free designation from the manufacturer.
It appears that the companies that have been supplying us have either soy or sunflower
lecithin and they are hesitant to provide an allergen free certification due to the potential for small
amounts of protein in the lecithin.
Would tocopherols work for your purpose?
I believe a few years years ago (2013) Organic Technology (technologies?) had a statement in their "Quality documents" saying that even though derived from Soy, their tocopherols were exempt of allergen declaration because it was made from highly refined soy oil, even citing the FDA text about it.
I am not sure however if this is still the case.
