Omitting Standard Footnote on Horizontal Facts Panel?

Hi,

I have been working on some Horizontal Nutrition Facts Panels.  I know they meet the guidelines to display a horizontal panel but am wondering if I can omit the standard footnote if they are full panels?  I see in CFR that you can omit the standard footnote if using a simplified nutrition facts panel but see no mention of if for a label that is not simplified.  I think we have room to display the standard footnote but it is preferred if we can omit for more space for other packaging copy.  Anyone know one way or the other?

Thanks!

This is the best I can do, not being a labeling person

Thank you for trying to help.  I have decided to go ahead and make sure the standard footnote is included.

Check out Food Consulting Company.  They have an awesome newsletter that has tons of info when it comes to labeling.  Check out this link, hope it helps.  http://www.foodlabel...ts-examples.htm

Hi aescroggins,

I was unable to find any mention of a so-called "standard footnote" in any of the previous links or Google.

Out of curiosity what does "standard footnote" actually mean ? (Perhaps you could reference the relevant CFR ?)
