When you go to details of the alert there is information attempt to illegally import (invalid health certificate) - border rejection.

As I understand this products never enter the country as are rejected on borders so do not really think any actions can be taken.

can someone correct me if I am wrong?

Hello Karina,

Thx for responce. I have been challenged by one of our customer that how are we validating the Health certificates ?

What i do not understand is How come we know that it is  fraud certificate?

Have you come across the same situation?

Thx

Sae

Dear Saenath

I do not think You as a person/company are able to verify health certificate for raw material you are talking about.

Only thing you can do is to send raw material for testing for what is listed on those heath certificates.

No one challenged us as fas as I know and when I asked we do not verify them either.

When I was doing our vulnerability assessment and done the research I have not found situations where manufacturer that uses, in your case nuts with complex supply chain, was held responsible for fraudulent certificate.

Every fraud regarding health certificate was discovered on the border and product was rejected so never entered the country and supply chain.

I have rated nuts with more complex supply chain as higher risk raw material but having risk factors and mitigation factors in mind it is still law risk material.

Can you present them information that you have done the research and it shows effectiveness of border agencies in detectability of fraudulent health certificates?
