Hi Humaid,

Just to thank you for reminding me of this, IMO, amazing Resource.

It seems to me that AIB in some ways sell themselves short in their standardised introduction which is common to all their publications.

It appears they distinguish their  "Inspection" as fundamentally different to an "Audit" but IMO, as evidenced by the content of their Standards, an enormous amount of overlap inevitably exists.

The scoring system applied also looks to be one of the most comprehensive attempts I have seen to express Graded (eg Serious/Major/Minor) defects in a Quantitative fashion. My only initial reservation to its methodology was that it may require a mathematician (or software) to implement it.

One may or may not agree with all the Unambiguous (their word) requirements of their Standards (eg an air filter requirement of 50micron compared to SQF's Guidance of 0.01micron)  but it seems to me that the material and presentation format offer an excellent, relatively non-technical, starter for someone trying to grasp the operational scope of Food Safety in Manufacturing Facilities.
