How to determine BRC packaging risk level?

We manufacture rigid plastic containers for the yogurt, ice cream and like sectors. We are certified AIB as well as FDA/IMS (International Milk Shippers).

I have very little knowledge of BRC standards and need an answer to the following question: According to BRC, should we be considered a high or low risk supplier?

(BRC 3.5.1.2 or other clauses?)

Thank you very much!

James

100% high risk Tamale.

Regards,

Simon

Thank you Simon,

Is it because its food packaging or is it because we are not BRC/GSFI certified?

Tamale

Hi Tamale,

High risk because your plastic containers are direct food contact packaging.

The cartons/bags you deliver your plastic containers in are not direct food contact packaging and would be low risk.

Simon
