Hi,

We are interested in receiving a model of a GFSI recognized scheme in English language for bottling Spring Mineral Water approved in the USA.

We will highly appreciate any model and guidance.

Thank you,

Max

Hi Max,

:welcome:

Bottled spring water would come under:

SQF Food Sector Category (FSC): 16
Category (Supplier Scope of Certification): Ice, Drink and Beverage Processing
Applicable SQF Code Modules:
Module 2: System elements
Module 11: GMP for processing of food products
GFSI Benchmarked: YES

The IFSQN offer an SQF Code Edition 7.2 Implementation Package for Food Manufacturers
This comprehensive documentation package is available for immediate download, covers Module 2: System elements and Module 11: GMP for processing of food products, can be edited to meet your needs and is perfect for Food Manufacturers looking to meet level 2 (safety) and level 3 (quality) requirements of the SQF Code, Edition 7.2. The package comes with technical support until you achieve certification.

Kind regards,

Tony

Hi Max

In addition to any accredited standard you will also have to meet the specific rules for the States in which you want to sell.

There are different requirements in different states.

e.g To sell in new York State samples from every batch to be shipped to the USA must be tested at a facility approved by the state authorities

From the UK we have to send samples to Switzerland as the nearest approved laboratory

I don't believe there are any approved laboratories on South America, you would need to use one of the US labs.

If you want to sell in California you need to complete a Water Bottling Plant License Application (Out of State Bottler) and of course pay the appropriate fee.

and so it goes on.

rgds
