BRC 3.4.4 Hygiene & Fabrication audit targets

Hello,

Just completed BRC 7 audit, One non conformance was that we did not have defined targets for Hygiene and fabrication audits, although it is not specifically detailed in the standard, the auditor says we should have defined targets for each area of the facility and have each area rated as a percentage of the target according to how many issues there are.  For example our target is 100% and the score is reduced by a certain percentage if there are any issues with hygiene or fabrication.

I cannot find an info on this or how it might be implemented.. especially the scoring/rating aspect.

Any help appreciated :)

Hi CJSutton,

:welcome:

A scoring system can be used for areas inspected such as in this example:

GMP Audit Form.jpg   71.38KB   7 downloads

The scores can be used to rate the audit and also for trend analysis.

BRC Guidance states: It is important that issues identified at the inspections are corrected as soon as possible and always such that product risk is minimised. The records of inspections and corrective actions must be retained.
Inspection records can provide useful information to identify trends and drive improvements through, for example, the use of scored inspection results.

Kind regards,

Tony
