Hi All!

I'm just wondering if our company can use a two sets of label for a single product? First is the one with allergen declaration and the other one does not?

Hi,

Do you mean on the same product at the same time?

Labels have to have all regulations on them at the right size and within field of vision, so it would depend if you are placing two labels on one item, where they are positioned from each other.

Hi everyone!

Again, i would just like to ask if it is ok not to put an allergen statement (e.g. this product contain coconut) on the label when the the name of the product itself indicates the allergen (for example the name of the product is "Shredded Young Coconut"). Are there any regulation saying about this? This product i am referring is exported in US which consider coconut as an allergen unlike Canada.

Thank you.

I don't think so, since the name of the product indicates already that the product is made of coconut, i think its pretty obvious.

We also have the same situation. And upon inspecting the label, there's no declaration indicated in the packaging.

And to think we're exporting already for 3 years in US.

Cheers.  :happydance:

Hi,

It's always better to have a single label which is compliance with the requirement of legal norms with necessary declaration if any.  If a company use two set of the label with different information ( with / without declaration ) might owe legal action in most countries.
