Soaking time equipment with chlorine 50ppm and 100 - 200 ppm?

My company used concentration chlorine 100 - 200ppm for disinfection ( basket, knife, board..). so, how many time soaking?

Afaik there is no standard timing since it can depend on various factors, eg -

(1) preliminary cleaning procedure

(2) initial bacterial load

(3) materials involved, eg stainless steel, plastic, wood

(4) texture of material, eg wood vs plastic

(5) target micro.limit(s) after cleaning/sanitizing

(6) type of process step involved, eg raw/RTE

The basic answer is the combination C/S procedures should minimally achieve the designated micro. objective for the respective surfaces.

It's a question of validating/verifying the applied Procedure with some data. Maybe use ATP for first approx. assessment of Cleaning / trial setup followed by some micro. swabbing for indicators/pathogens as per yr specific micro. targets/requirements

If the cleaning procedure is effective, the sanitizing time will be minimized which is the optimum logic afaik.

I agree with Charles.C - one other thing to consider is whether or not sanitizers are regulated in your particular country (or other government entity, such as regional/state/local), as that may dictate how low you can go in concentration levels.
