Labeling of Organic Product

We are a facility that is not USDA Organic-certified, but will be selling a product that is Organic certified from another company repackaging for us. We will not handle this product at all, except for receiving into our facility and shipping it out. Are we able to use the USDA Organic symbol on this product as the facility packaging for us is certified?

I have not been in your situation. I have worked with Organics for almost a decade now.

This is our situation.

Required:

3rd party repacker organic certified, with supporting document that lists all products they can handle and label names

full traceability on organic lots (no batches)

All organic product is organically certified

Artwork is approved by the organic certifier for the 3rd party repacker as well as our organic certifier at our facility

So I'm thinking that you are wondering if your art work can have the USDA organic logo, I think that you would need to have your 3rd party re=packer submit it and have it approved by their certifier if they haven't already

I would suggest you get an organic certificate at your facility, it is a very easy process. Especially if you are only storing it there. Pretty cheap too

What is the extent of your repacking?  Opening and repackaging items?  Packing sealed items into different cases or packaging types?
