Environmental Monitoring Template
Hi Everyone, Does anyone have a spreadsheet (template) to record your environmental swabbing results such as Salmonella and Listeria? A document for tracking and trending purposes.

Any relevant template is likely to relate to yr product/process ?
You can make this easily in excel. Just make a table with on the horizontal access the following items:

TPC: Entero: E.coli Salmonella Listeria Etc.
Then you can fill the results in the horizontal lines. Using the option in Excel for graphs you can set up a trend analysis by selecting the right columns
There are many ways that you can track your samples. A simple and inexpensive option is to use an Excel file as was suggested. If you have sites that are regularly sampled then you could list them out in a file and then mark each time they are sampled. Use a 0 for a negative and a 1 if positive. The file would then be able to tell you how many times that site has been sampled through out a time frame and how many, if any times it was positive as well as a percentage. It is a simple way to track and trend. (I have attached a sample format.)
If you are having some issues with positive samples then suggest you map them. Get a diagram or a simple drawing of the layout of the area or plant and plot areas that showed positive and sometimes it is useful to plot the negatives too, but it can sometimes overwhelm your map so consider using transparencies to layer them over one another.

That is a very simple and straightforward way to keep track of environmental monitoring program. Great idea. Thank you.
