I have recenly been asked to fill out a supplier questionnaire from a German company. There is a question asking us if we comply with GFFI. Does anybody know what this is? The only thing I can find is the "game fishing fiji islands" site.

Sam,

Are you sure it was not GFSI?
This stands for the Global Food Safety Initiative.
Currently 4 standards meet this requirement:

BRC Food
EFSIS
IFS ( International Food Standard)
Dutch HACCP standard

If you need more info I have more,

Franco you seem to know what GFFI is - what does it stand for?

Thanks,
Simon

Right Simon,

I SEEM to know
Actually I only have efficient search bots
I really don't know the meaning of that acronym.
Good Morning Franco, I hope Trieste isn't too cold today.

So GFFI still eludes us, not to worry.

Have a quality day!

Simon
Sunny today

If you find out from the German supplier what GFFI is please let us know. Also can you provide the link to the "game fishing fiji islands" site - it sounds great!

Simon
The problem is that we have a Swedish customer, who sells on our vinegar to a German customer. So I had a swedish technical manager who didn't speak brilliant English trying to translate a German questionnaire to me over the phone.

He had no idea what it was either

By the way................

Link to the Fiji fishing page!!
I think we'll settle this once and for all.

GFFI officially stands for: Game Fishing Fiji Islands

And I'd love to go…wouldn't you?

Simon
I think it should be GFSI that someone replying before. You can access at http://www.ciesnet.com under the "Global Food Safety Initiative". Updated 5 standards are successfully benchmarked with the GFSI guideline one, i.e. EFSIS, BRC, HACCP Dutch, IFS and SQF 2000.
