Rock or Metal?
No, I'm not talking about musical preference... :rofl2:
I wondered if there was a way to tell the difference between a non-magnetic metal fragment or a piece of stone found by our x-ray? The material is non magnetic and not shiny.
Just trying to classify what I find.
Thanks in advance

Hi jfox,
If i was an X-ray user, I would probably phone the supplier.
Try scratching the material with a blade or similar - you could then probably differentiate by the texture when scraping and a metallic object would likely appear metallic in appearance if an oxidised matt layer has been scratched of during the process
