Food Defense vs TACCP

Hi, 

Does anybody know the difference between them? I'm currently assigned to develop Food Defense Plan in our Commissaries. However, I'm confused on what to use. how they differ from each other. what is the updated version in the manufacturing industries? Thank you so much.

The fact is that there are many "flavours" of both the subjects you mention, eg depending on food business, geographical location,etc.

 

Yr preferred choice may likely relate to yr intended usage, eg any subsequent audit Standard.

 

Can you clarify yr objectives a little ?

Thank you for your response. We are trying to build a Food Defense framework that will not only satisfy the FSSC 22000 requirements but also apply to other countries since our brand is catering international markets. eg US, Canada, Middle East and Southeast Asia.  

 

There is a Food Defense standards that is set up here in our country (Philippines) but I'm not sure if the prescribed risk assessment requirement will satisfy the standards of other countries.
