Risk analysis template for alternative storage
We are needing a Alternative Storage Facility and would like to find a simple risk analysis template.
I would simply begin with a question, is the alternate storage facility is food grade compliant, and has the warehouse obtained 3rd party GMP, BRC, SQF or other qualified certifying scheme for food storage. Then develop a check list of must have programs that you must have in place. For example; Sanitation, Pest Control, customer complaint, allergen storage plan etc.

Dear Csmith,
The risk assessment for third party storage is the same as for your own warehouses. The hazards, risks are the same, the control methods may be different. You need to check the control methods of the potentially third party storage and decide if these are appropriate to control indicated risks. Also you need to decide if these control measures fits your organization. E.g. if you have customer requirement not to use toxic baits for pest control, the third party warehouse that you will contract, should also not use this.
There is one hazard/risk that might be in third party warehouse and not in your own: hazard on taint contamination by other products. So you need to know which products are also stored at the same warehouse and if your products are sensible to taint contamination.
