MRL Frequency for products with no registered incidents
Hello to everybody
We are a small 'trading' company based in the Netherlands mainly importing fresh packed vegetables and herbs from Africa for European Retailers. I want to set the MRL frequency for every product taking into account also sourcing area. However, I have limited data bases (only RASFF) to use for my risk analysis. Hence, for some products there are no registered incidents at all. Any recommendation would be appreciated
here is a Global G.A.P. Criteria regarding your point:-

Hello Charles,
Yes I mean pesticide residues. on fresh vegetables (peas, beans) and herbs.
I want to make a sampling plan for testing residues for all products we receive before we ship them to our retailers. Of course we cannot afford to send every lot for residue analysis.
I was advised by the auditor during our IFS broker and Logistic audits to use the RASFF site for my risk analysis. Therefore, I check how many incidents took place the last 4 years and i use the same frequency for my tests. I do not have enough history in my company and that's why i am using those external data bases. However, for some products there is no history at all. So my target is to conclude in a final table showing how often we will test or request by our suppliers a lab analysis.
Product Mangetout Sugar snaps Garden peas beans Area Kenya 5 months 6 months 5 months 4 months Zimbabwe 6 months Egypt 6 months Peru 6 months Guatemala 6 months Rwanda 6 months
I hope it is more clear now :ejut: . Thanks a lot for your comments

Hi pad,
Thks for clarification.
I anticipate that a variety of non-compliant chemical pesticides having variable MRLs may be involved.
Sounds like a case for Sherlock Holmes, or an XY Risk matrix.
Good Luck !
