FSSC 22000 4.1 (Food Fraud)
Good Day all
My Name is Rita from South Africa.
Working in a food environment (repacking of sugar into different pack size) as a Food Safety Team Leader.
A year ago we have been FSSC certified. However our 1st surveillance will include of 4.1 (Food Fraud).
Not sure how to go about carrying out Risk Assessment based on possible food fraud eg. adulteration, mislabeling etc.
If any body has started this exercise and have a Risk Assessment template or spreadsheet, please share on this forum. I would be greatly appreciated.
This is quite urgent so a quick response will be highly appreciated.
Kind Regard
Rita

Hi PP,
Actually it is preferred to not post email addresses on the Forum. It attracts spammers.

Hi Rita,
The online vulnerability assessment available on www.ffv.pwc.com is an option. Once you have registered you can always go back and update it . You still have to compile a document to describe the method you used, what risks are considered , who is responsible, how often it is updated etc.
Hi Rita,
This is what we used too to conduct a vulnerability assessment. It's a great tool.

Seems to repeat Post 9.
Dear Charles Thank you for all your assistance However I am unable to login into the "food fraud vulnerability assessment tool" error message "Something went wrong" "Failed to login"
You can access the free Food Fraud Assessment Tool on the SSAFE Food Safety website.
http://www.ssafe-foo...g/our-projects/
In case the link does not work. Search SSAFE and once on their site, click the Our Projects tab at top, choose food safety tab and scroll to the bottom of the screen. They have a link to their Food Fraud Assessment Tool. It is quite user friendly but also intense.

Hi Rita,
As per previous post and following linked post below, it looks like unfortunately you may not be alone in finding problems this tool.
http://www.ifsqn.com...699#entry115699
I hv never tried it myself because, IIRC, the tool was originally found by would-be users to hv various site/operational bugs. Seems there may still be difficulties.
Perhaps the issued SQF Guidance may now help ?

Dear Charles
Thanks for your expert Food Safety advice. Always look forward to your read your responses on Food Safety.
Further to carrying out an online assessment.
We will be required to carry out a vulnerability risk assessment (similar to the HACCP risk assessment and decision tree) please advise
This to present to the auditor during external audits.
Further to this we have to write up a procedure (Risk Assessment Methodology) please advise
I have attempted a spread sheet please advise if this is the way to go.
Can we in this forum together improve on this spreadsheet if possible.
Hello Food Safety Forum members.
Me again regarding Food Fraud Assessment.
I have completed the online assessment, however we still need to complete a vulnerability assessment on an excel spreadsheet similar to the HACCP Risk Assessment and Raw Material Risk Assessment and Decision Tree. please correct me if i am wrong.
However I have attached a spreadsheet which I have started and will like to get some input and advise from the forum, maybe if this is the way to go, together we can improve on this.
I am currently in the food packing, my company specialises in repacking of sugar into sachets which is mainly used in the tea and coffee shops.
So the only rawmaterial we receive is sugar which is then repacked into these sachets and dispatched out as finished goods.
No blending or mixing is done.

Hi Rita,
Unfortunately I haven't offhand yet seen any discussions here on FSSC's "FF" expectations. I assume this is some sort of consequence to FF's appearance in GFSI.
I confess to also being unaware of the FSSC text defining where/how FSSC may expect it to now be supplied.
Can you clarify the FSSC source or point to a relevant post on this forum (if any).
PS - as noted elsewhere here SQF seem to have sort of "teamed up" with ssafe.
