Packaging Material and SQF

Hello,

We are looking for new packaging material for syrup based flavorings, preferably opaque plastic bottles with pumps. SQF requires safety data or guarantee that the packaging material is safe. We manufacture a small volume of the product so we are having trouble finding a supplier. A few suppliers that we have come across provided letters that basically say the material used for manufacturing the bottles is safe as per FDA but the customer (Us in this case) is responsible for testing if it is safe for our products. Does anyone have experience in what sort of testing can be done by us? Or any idea on packaging suppliers that meet GFSI standards and can supply smaller volumes.

Thank you.
