Best method for cleaning heat sealer

Dear all,

I have a packaging machine for packing bags with a heat sealer.

The sealer gets clogged.

I found the employees using brass bristle.

I need to supply with a suitable method.

How do you recomend to clean it.

Gosh that is a tough one & although it's risky I have never seen any other method used..... not good practice but blind eyes are turned & the brushes "safely stored" when auditors are on site..... it would help if your metal detector is downstream from the heat sealing too.

Maybe the heat sealer supplier could offer advice on best practice or the wire brush would be used only when production not happening (end of shift) or under strict control, like knife issuing within the meat industry so condition would be monitored

Brass bristle brush is most effective.

Can you conduct this cleaning outside production run and ensure proper cleaning prior to restart.

Start with a clean heads every run.

I think it is essentially the same everywhere. To reduce difficulty, try to determine the frequency of cleaning. Your current duration in between cleaning might be too long making the residue in sealer too thick already making it difficult to clean.

On the other hand, you may have settings that is too high relative to the recommended thermal property of your packing making also accumulation of residue faster.

There is something ( I forgot what is called) an equipment use to sharpen the sealer and check if the duration between sharpening is also not long enough.

Brass Bristle Brush is effective and I use It to clean my Vacuum Sealer.
